Below are some first and easy steps of preparing trout at any given time.

Cooking Broiled Trout

  • Takes approximately 20 minutes for the trout to be fully prepared
  • Flavoured with garlic and herbs
  • Should be broiled with perfection

Ingredients

  • Rainbow trout or other medium sized fish fillets that are about inch
  • 1 cup of soft bread crumps
  • 3 table spoon of lime
  • 2 tea spoon soybean oil
  • 1/2 tea spoon garlic powder
  • 1 tea spoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tea spoon of peppe

Steps:

1) Begin by setting the oven control to broil. You can then apply the pan rack with soybean oil or spray the rack with cooking spray. Place the trout on the rack in the broiler pan and then brush the trout with lime juice. Broil with tops about 4 inches from heat

2) While the fish is broiling you can now mix the remaining ingredients which are garlic powder, pepper, and the Italian seasoning

3) Spoon the breadcrumb mixture on top of the fish and broil a minute longer

4) Use a fork to check whether the trout if fully cooked

5) Remove the trout from the broiler

6) Serve it when hot

Cooking a Grilled Trout

It takes approximately 20 minutes to prepare.

Ingredients

  • Fish steaks of trout
  • 1/4 tea spoon pepper
  • 1 lemon (cut it into 4 slices)
  • 2 Table spoon butter or melted margarine
  • 1 tea spoon salt

Steps:

1) Brush the grill with vegetable oil or cooking spray

2) Heat to medium heat for about 10 minutes for gas grill

3) Cut the fish into 4 serving pieces or more

4) Brush the fish with about half of the butter and sprinkle on top with salt and pepper

5) Place the fish on the grill rack and cover for it to cook for about 10 minutes

6) Brush the fish again with the remaining butter

7) Use a fork or knife to check whether it is fully cooked

8) Remove it from the griller

9) Serve it with the lemon slices when hot

Cooking Pan Fried Trout

Takes approximately 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • Trout fillet
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup of milk
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup oil

Steps:

1) Beat the egg in a shallow dish until it gets well blended

2) Stir the milk in the egg until it gets well blended

3) Dip the trout in the mixture

4) Allow it to soak for around 5 minutes

5) Remove the fish from the mixture and then deep it in the flour for it to coat

6) Heat oil in a pan

7) Add the fish and cook

8) Season it with salt and pepper
